WHAT IS HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY?

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a treatment designed to restore optimal hormone levels when the body begins producing fewer hormones with age. As hormones decline, many individuals experience symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, mood changes, low libido, and difficulty sleeping. HRT works by replenishing key hormones like testosterone or estrogen to help restore balance and improve overall well-being.

At The Lotus Med Spa, we offer bioidentical hormone replacement therapy using Evexipel® pellet therapy. Evexipel pellets are small, plant-derived hormone pellets that are placed just beneath the skin, where they slowly release consistent hormone levels over time. This method closely mimics the body’s natural hormone production and helps avoid the fluctuations that can occur with other forms of hormone therapy.

Pellet therapy provides a convenient, long-lasting option for patients seeking stable hormone levels and sustained symptom relief.

BENEFITS OF HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY

When hormone levels are restored to an optimal range, many patients experience significant improvements in both physical and mental well-being.

Benefits may include:

• Increased energy and reduced fatigue
• Improved mood and mental clarity
• Enhanced libido and sexual wellness
• Improved sleep quality
• Support for healthy metabolism and weight management
• Increased muscle mass and strength
• Reduced brain fog and improved focus
• Overall improved quality of life

Because pellet therapy provides steady hormone release, many patients experience more consistent symptom relief compared to other hormone delivery methods.

WHEN TO EXPECT BENEFITS

Because Evexipel pellet therapy releases hormones gradually into the bloodstream, improvements typically develop over time rather than immediately. Many patients begin noticing positive changes within 2–4 weeks as hormone levels begin to stabilize.

Common improvements may include increased energy, improved mood, better sleep, enhanced libido, and improved mental clarity. Some benefits may appear sooner, while others continue improving over the following weeks as the body adjusts to balanced hormone levels.

Every patient’s response is unique, and optimal results occur as hormone levels are carefully monitored and adjusted to maintain balance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

COMPREHENSIVE CONSULTATION AND LAB WORK

Your hormone therapy journey begins with a comprehensive consultation and lab evaluation to assess your current hormone levels and symptoms. Your provider will review your medical history, discuss your concerns, and determine whether hormone therapy is appropriate for you.

If hormone therapy is recommended, a personalized treatment plan will be created based on your individual hormone levels and health goals.

QUICK IN-OFFICE PROCEDURE

Evexipel pellet therapy is a quick in-office procedure. After numbing the treatment area (typically the upper hip), a small incision is made and the hormone pellet is inserted just beneath the skin using a specialized device. The procedure usually takes less than 15 minutes, and most patients experience minimal discomfort.

Once inserted, the pellet gradually releases hormones into the bloodstream, providing consistent hormone levels over several months.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

After pellet placement, patients can typically return to most normal activities the same day. You may experience mild soreness or bruising at the insertion site for a few days.

Patients are usually advised to:

• Avoid strenuous lower body exercise for 3–5 days
• Avoid soaking in baths, pools, or hot tubs for 3–7 days
• Keep the insertion site clean and dry as instructed

FOLLOW UP LAB WORK + FUTURE PELLET PROCEDURES

To ensure your hormone levels are optimized, we schedule follow-up lab work approximately 5 weeks after your initial pellet insertion. This allows your provider to evaluate how your body is responding to the therapy and confirm that hormone levels are within the desired range.

Monitoring hormone levels helps us make precise adjustments if needed and ensures you are receiving the most effective dose for your body. After the initial follow-up, pellet therapy is typically repeated every 3–4 months for women and 5–6 months for men, depending on individual metabolism and hormone needs.

Regular follow-up appointments and lab testing allow us to maintain consistent hormone balance and long-term symptom improvement.
