WHAT ARE NEUROMODULATORS?

Neuromodulators (often called "Tox", "Toxin", "Neurotoxin", "Wrinkle Relaxers", and "Botox"), are injectable treatments that temporarily relax the facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, helping to smooth lines and prevent deeper wrinkles from forming over time. 

 

At The Lotus Med Spa, we offer advanced neuromodulators including Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Daxxify, which work by blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles that cause expression lines. WHY DO WE WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR A TOUCH-UP?

After neuromodulator treatments, it takes time for the medication to fully bind to the targeted muscles and produce its final effect. While some patients begin noticing improvements within a few days, full results typically develop over 10–14 days as the muscles gradually relax.

Because the treatment continues working during this time, it is important to wait the full two weeks before evaluating the final outcome. Adjusting or adding additional product too early could lead to over-treatment once the neuromodulator reaches its full effect.

At your two-week follow-up, your provider can accurately assess how the muscles responded and determine if a small touch-up is needed to perfect the results. This approach helps ensure balanced, natural-looking outcomes while maintaining precise dosing.
